We are muslims only by name as the characteristics and attributes of a true Muslim we have left behind a decade ago. When Europe was wandering in darkness since 14 hundred years ago, Quran Sharif provided us a complete code of life and the virtues of human being.Islam is the religion of peace, prosperity and tolerance. It teaches us simplicity. But due to living with Hindus in the Indian subcontinent we have borrowed their norms and values. We are trapped in to their cultural norms. We spend millions on wedding just for show off. We want to maintain our status in this fake society. We don't bother to spend on a man lying on death bed in the hospital. We spend lack on designer lenga and decor. We are dead souls. We are no more human beings.we are buying branded item just for inner satisfaction and to earn praise from others. We don't see a maid working in our house just for 5 or 6 thousand.while passing through road we don't see fruitwala seeking his livelihood through your purchase.
It's a long debate we can't sum it up in one article.society is full of evil norms.
In a nutshell all we wear we do and what we say is contributing our status quo. Our beautiful language Urdu is not considered to speak for expression of opinion at higher level like if you appearing in a job interview and you speak Urdu most probably he ll be expelled. Well this is the time to seriously ponder over this and transform oneself on individual basis. This society belongs to us. We can change it. Inshallah We ll make it exemplary as Islam taught us.
Thx for taking your time
Hope to meet you with a new topic tomorrow

ReplyDeleteWhile I may not agree with all that you have said I certainly agree that show off, conspicuous spending etc should be avoided. We must have empathy with the poor. But blaming Hindus or Europeans for this is not in good spirit of tolerance. There are very poor Hindus who do not believe in status. The rich ones irrespective of their religion flaunt their wealth and show off. Society everywhere needs a change.
